The Cardeal and Colibri Field covers an area of 82 km² of development and is located in the northwestern onshore portion of the Potiguar Basin, approximately 30 km from the city of Mossoró, state of Rio Grande do Norte.
From 2010 to 2015, 26 development wells were drilled with a total of 31 production wells in the Cardeal and Colibri fields (five exploration wells were converted into production wells). Development was interrupted in 2015 due to Petrobras’ divestment.
Under the operation of Mandacaru Energia, oil production in 2022 increased by 43% compared to the previous year’s production. The current BS&W for sale has an average of 0.3%, one of the lowest in the Potiguar Basin.
