The Rio Mariricu Field, adjacent to the Rio Mariricu Sul Field, is located in the Espírito Santo Basin, approximately 12 km southeast of the city of São Mateus- ES.
It was discovered on March 1, 1981, by exploratory well 1-RM-001A-ES. Its effective production began in February 1982. 17 wells were drilled, but only 8 are active.
The Rio Mariricu and Rio Mariricu Sul fields cover an area of 6.850 km², with a current reservoir BS&W of approximately 95%.
