In the “Environmental” area, Mandacaru stands out for its initiatives in:
- Reforestation area, strengthening the vegetation cover, and maintaining local species;
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to deal responsibly with the water produced in our operations;
- The innovative practice of irrigating the native forest with water from the WTP, cooling the environment, enriching the local flora, and reinforcing the environmental commitment;
- Awareness programs for the consumption of disposable items, energy, and water in the facilities;
- Conscious waste management through the selective collection system, strengthening the partnership with the waste pickers’ association, and promoting social inclusion and economic sustainability.
